This position will assist the Pediatrics Chairman in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the management of the chairman’s research enterprise/portfolio. The incumbent will coordinate and lead efforts in a variety of research activities that are complex and wide in scope working toward carrying out objectives; support, promote and implement initiatives to include planning, monitoring and reporting for the Pediatric Chairman; and will handle problems/situations for which solutions must be recommended. She/he will maintain a strategic focus on priorities and projects for the Office of the Chairman, including acting as a liaison and providing support for the Chairman’s pediatric clinical research team, medical journals, and research foundations and collaborating with counterparts at sponsor and other offices/institutes/outside agencies/foundations/vendors on the direction, coordination, implementation, and successful completion of projects.
Minimum qualifications include Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years relevant work experience. Excellent oral & written communication skills required as well as proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Endnote, and internet usage. Must be organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated. Must possess the ability to work independently, set and maintain priorities, and think critically. Strong project management and organizational skills preferred.
Master’s degree, PhD. Previous experience with clinical research in pediatric oncology and/or cardiomyopathy preferred. Previous experience coordinating international medical conferences also a plus. Previous experience in publishing preferred.
