The Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking an exceptional candidate for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in hematologic malignancy. Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD with expertise that complements existing center strengths. Research areas of interest include cell signaling, metabolism, redox biology, cancer genetics and epigenetics, mechanisms of progression or treatment resistance of hematologic malignancies. Competitive start-up funds and faculty salary will be provided, commensurate with level of experience. In addition, wet laboratory space will be provided in the new, open-format, Healthy Kentucky Research Building which house the majority of cancer basic researchers and is in close proximity to state-of-the-art research cores.
The Markey Cancer Center is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center on the medical campus of the University of Kentucky. Situated on a campus with all six health profession colleges, the cancer center is located within a vibrant and expanding basic, clinical, and population research community with ample opportunities for collaboration within and across its research programs (see
