The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo (OCH) is actively recruiting for a BC/BE, full-time, academic Child Abuse Physician in the Division of General Pediatrics.
Job duties include:
- The Child Abuse Physician will become the Medical Director of the Child Abuse Prevention Program within UBMD Pediatrics and will provide medical evaluations of suspected child abuse victims at the Child Advocacy Center (CAC).
- The physician will also provide child abuse consultations in Oishei Children’s Hospital (OCH). Care is provided in conjunction with academic teaching duties for medical students and residents from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
- Multidisciplinary team collaboration with the child abuse team at the CAC, the pediatric trauma team at OCH, and community agencies working to manage and prevent child abuse and neglect.
- The successful candidate will be granted a University appointment as a Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor.
