The University of Kentucky, College of Medicine Department of OBGYN, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor in the Research Title Series (tenure-ineligible). This position is a twelve-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of 95% Teaching and Advising, and 5% Professional Development. This position is an onsite position. We anticipate a start date of July 1, 2025, but no later than August 1, 2025.

This position, based in Lexington, KY, onsite, will assist and resource the Kentucky Maternal Morbidity and Mortality Task Force Simulation Program within the College of Medicine. This position requires an individual to provide teaching, advising, and mentoring of learners in the Maternal Fetal Medicine clinical simulation learning center. This candidate will contribute to scholarly practice. Candidate will design, implement and evaluate curriculum offered in the Clinical Simulation Learning Center. They will plan and evaluate learner experiences and provide experience in clinical simulation with low- and high-fidelity simulators.

The required education and experience include an earned Doctorate or PhD, with a certification in Simulation. Preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education preferred, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. Successful teaching experience in clinical simulation with low and high-fidelity simulators is preferred. An active unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse or medical doctor and a minimum of 2 years of related professional clinical experience within the last 10 years is required.
