An exciting opportunity to work as a Standardized Patient Educator in the Clinical Competency Center is available at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. As a Standardized Patient Educator, you will gain expertise in the use of standardized patients and teaching associate methodology for educational and assessment purposes. In this role, you will:
- Utilize a working database of clinical cases, standardized patients, and clinicians involved in clinical assessment.
- Recruit and train standardized patients for the purposes of assessment and teaching.
- Participate in the planning, organization, and implementation of clinical assessment evaluations.
- Develop and modify standardized patient cases and assessment tools such as checklists, patient perception surveys, and post station notes.
- Provide feedback to both individual students and faculty on exam performance.
