The Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) Department of Integrative Physiology and Pharmacology is actively searching for a qualified individual – Pharmacology Faculty (rank commensurate with experience).
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching select topics in pharmacology to first- and second-year osteopathic medical students in Liberty’s state-of-the-art Center for Medical and Health Sciences as a member of systems-based teaching teams. Faculty work collaboratively to incorporate current pedagogical methods, including didactic lectures and active learning techniques, in their teaching of the physiological systems and cellular mechanisms that are foundational to health and disease. Faculty are expected to develop and maintain a health-related research program in their area of expertise that has the potential for involving LUCOM and Liberty University students. Additionally, faculty are to provide service to their department, college, university, community, and related-professional organizations.
Applicants must have a PhD, MD, or DO degree with expertise in pharmacology. Consideration may be given to qualified individuals with a PharmD degree. Good interpersonal skills are required to work in LUCOM’s team-based culture. Recruited faculty members will be expected to support a positive Christian environment while mentoring Liberty osteopathic medical students.
