The Department of Surgery is composed of dynamic clinical and basic science faculty with diverse experience and clinical skills that help cultivate today’s residents into future surgery leaders. We pride ourselves on ensuring excellence in the department’s three mission areas: patient care, research, and education.
Our faculty utilizes state-of-the-art laboratories to pioneer approaches and to conduct innovative research; which is then translated into clinical practice. The Department of Surgery is dedicated to providing high quality surgical education through comprehensive clinical exposure, research at the forefront of medicine, and mentoring by physicians and scientists devoted to their craft.
