Assistant Professor, Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPS)


Position location: Kingston Campus

This is a full-time academic year, tenure-track permanent position.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The University of Rhode Island's Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences in The College of Pharmacy invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track position in the general pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences area at the Assistant Professor rank beginning in Spring/Fall 2025. The successful candidate will be appointed the inaugural "RI-INBRE Faculty Scholar" and will significantly expand faculty research at URI into biologics, antibodies, protein-protein/protein-nucleic acid interactions, and/or biomarkers. This professor will be eligible for RI-INBRE funding, which provides crucial developmental support for early career investigators. In addition, the RI-INBRE Faculty Scholar will have free access to the RI-INBRE Centralized Research Core Facility (CRCF) and Data Science/Molecular Informatics Core (MIC), enhancing their research capabilities https://web.uri.edu/riinbre/.
