Dr. Ayala-Peacock is an Assistant Professor and Director of Brachytherapy Services in Radiation Oncology at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She specializes in women’s health malignancies. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University and her medical training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. In addition to her work within Vanderbilt, she is a member of multiple national cancer research groups with a focus on breast and gynecologic malignancies. She also has a substantial research background investigating the management of brain metastases, with her most recent collaborative efforts resulting in the publication of ‘A Multi-Institutional Competing Risks Analysis of Distant Brain Failure and Salvage Patterns after Upfront Radiosurgery without Whole Brain Radiotherapy for Brain Metastasis.’
