My research interests include conducting health services research to inform interventions and improve transitions of care for adolescents and young adults with sickle disease (SCD). My immediate research interests focus on the relationship between health literacy, self-management and cognition in the adolescent and young adult SCD population using validated measures with the intent of developing concrete and readily implementable interventions to improve transition from adult to pediatric care
