1. I have been engaged in the evaluation of patients with smell and taste disorders for over 15 years, which has allowed me to gain invaluable insights into these disorders and how they affect patients' lives and quality of life. My previous work has helped to better understand and quantify the impact of smell and taste disorders on patients. I have further explored differences in testing methods currently in use at smell and taste centers in the United States and Japan. Through this work we improved cross validity of results achieved from different methods of testing olfactory function.
