Expertise: Our research primarily focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which membrane lipids govern the function of key membrane channels. Such lipid modulation has been proposed to be caused either by direct lipid-protein interactions or indirectly by collective properties of the lipid matrix such as bilayer width or elasticity.
