Kuo directs a multidisciplinary research team of engineers, biologists, orthopaedic surgeons, and sports medicine doctors that are working together to develop innovative stem cell-based musculoskeletal tissue engineering and regenerative medicine strategies. The primary goals are to develop clinically translatable outcomes for the treatment of tendon and ligament injuries and diseases, and for the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal birth defects.
