I have been fortunate to work and collaborate with members in the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Before focusing on pulmonary vascular disease I worked on improving detection of infections in immunosuppressed patients with pneumonia. Now I am working on developing biomarkers (extracellular vesicles and digital biomarkers) to help identify treatment response in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. This will allow for personalized medicine in this rare disease. We are also working on better understanding chronic thromboembolic disease by following up all submassive and massive pulmonary embolus admitted to Strong Memorial Hospital.
