Cabiria Monica Barbosu, MD, PhD, MsBA is a physician specialized in applied public health, particularly HIV/AIDS and STIs area. She presently serves in a leadership role in all of NYSDOH AIDS Institute funded efforts: Clinical Education Initiative (CEI), Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Detailing for Health Care Providers, HIV Guidelines Assessment, Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO). Dr. Barbosu received her MD and PhD from University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Hatieganu" Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and her Master of Business Administration, specialization in Medical Management from Simon School of Business, University of Rochester. She brings expertise from over 10 years working in projects funded by NYSDOH AIDS Institute, and over 12 years of providing professional expertise concerning infectious diseases prevention and control with a focus on HIV/AIDS and STDs. Dr. Barbosu specializes in the development and implementation of novel Information and Communication Technologies in the field of medical education and in developing new and innovative ways to assist medical providers in their medical decision and therefore improve patient care.
