His research primarily has focused on the surgical treatment of distal third clavicle fractures, and repair and reconstruction of superior labral tears in a setting of biceps pathology and rotator cuff disease. Three biomechanics projects are presently accepted for national presentations and for manuscript submission to peer-reviewed journals. Findings from these projects are highly translational to clinical practice, and have paved the way for clinical trials. Dr. Voloshin has access and opportunity to care for thousands of patients with shoulder disorders for study in the basic science lab and will help utilize clinical research resources in the Administration Core to complete multiple clinical research studies.
