Dr. Hoilette has begun a research path to investigate strategies to improve health care delivery in primary care for vulnerable children and families with a particular interest in CHCs. She is merging two fields of study--CHCs and Multifacted Interventions, with a focus on high-risk individuals. She wrote and successfully attained a KL2 award through the URMC's CTSI. She has also published research in Academic Pediatrics analyzing CHC's as medical homes for children as compared with other primary care providers for the poor. As she has progressed in her career as the Medical Director of Woodward Health Center at Jordan Health, a CHC here in Rochester, she has expanded her interests into how real time multifacted interventions in the primary care setting can improve provider and patient satisfication and imporve outomes for vulneralbe children and families. As she has Her career development goals complement her research plans by providing her with the skill set, coursework, and local and national experiences to become an expert at CHCs with respect to medical home practice transformation, which has great potential to improve access and coordination.
