My current research interests include the use of extracellular vesicles and RNA as plasma biomarkers for risk stratification and prediction of response to therapy in patient groups, and their mechanisms of function in cellular models of disease. Working with surgeons based at University of Otago and Wellington Hospital as a part of the Surgical Cancer Research Group, I am involved in several projects investigating novel biomarkers in colorectal cancer.
