Expertise: My research is focused on the influence of iron deficiency/sequestration on erythropoiesis in a variety of anemias. Current projects are investigating the effects of iron restriction on erythropoietin receptor signaling using a human primary hematopoietic progenitor model of iron restricted erythropoiesis and mouse models of iron deficiency anemia.
